Ministry strategies to develop car industry towards motorisation period

Prime minister approved Vietnam's automobile industry development project till 2010 and vision to 2020, Ngo Quoc Tru, vice head of Ministry of Industry and Trade's Heavy Industry Department reported.
To date, the first phase of the project has been well-done as for the types of trucks and buses. So, the second phase from 2020 to 2030 will strategy to develop tourism cars to prepare for the motorisation period (2020-2025) with an aim to reach the ratio of fifty 9-seat cars every 1,000 people.
Vice minister of Industry and Trade, Le Duong Quang spoke that finding out the kind of strategic cars for investment concentration will help Vietnam's car industry have enough competitive strength when totally opening market as for regional countries by 2018.
