Toyota Vietnam launches new Vios

Toyota Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd (TMV) launched the new Vios 2010 model in HCMC on Thursday and the new car will be available at TMV sales agents nationwide from April 22.
To meet the demand and give customers more choices, TMV will also introduce one more grade of the new Vios called Vios 1.5C (M/T) for entry private customers.
The new Vios is still equipped with a 1.5 liter engine using VVT-i technology for better fuel efficiency, higher durability, pollution reduction and maintenance cost, according to the company.
The new Vios 1.5G with a 4A automatic gearbox is for young drivers, especially women.
TMV announced the prices of the new cars from VND477.5 million to over VND550 million per unit, including VAT.
Vios was first introduced in 2003 in Vietnam and made a spectacular debut that allowed it to achieve the leading position in the compact mid sedan segment with accumulated sales of nearly 18,000 units, holding a 50% share of the market segment.
