Volkswagen opens showroom in Ha Noi

Europe’s largest carmaker Volkswagen Group yesterday opened its first authorised showroom in Ha Noi’s Hai Ba Trung District. World Auto Co Ltd is the authorised importer. A second showroom will be opened in HCM City this year.
The Germany Wolfsburg-based company made about 3.12 million vehicle deliveries to customers in the first half of the year, representing 12 per cent of the world’s passenger car market.
The group was reported by AFP to announce yesterday that its third-quarter profit plunged 85.7 per cent on a 12-month basis but that it should still end the year in the black thanks to the Chinese market.
