Sofitel Saigon acquires Mercedes cars to upgrade fleet

Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, together with its authorized dealer Vietnam Star HCMC, on Wednesday handed over five E-Class Mercedes cars to the Sofitel Saigon Plaza as the five-star hotel seeks to upgrade its limousine fleet.
The hotel has chosen E-Class cars for its premium limousine service. The brand new luxury E-Class sedans in dark brown color are part of the renewal project of the Sofitel Saigon Plaza this year.
“We are delighted to launch the new limousine service in partnership with Mercedes-Benz as part of the enhancement of our facilities and services,” the general director of the Sofitel Saigon Plaza, Philippe Godard, said in a statement.
“We want to offer a brand new image on the luxury market in Saigon, embodying the French style and elegance together with our new Club Rooms and Suites that will be unveiled in the end of this month,” he added.
Highlighting the Sofitel color, the dark brown Macassar E-250 Avant-garde cars feature wireless internet access to help customers stay in touch while traveling around town. By acquiring the deluxe sedands, the Sofitel Saigon Plaza aims to set a new level of excellence with the limousine service of the hotel.
Sofitel is a French luxury hotel brand with presence at 120 destinations in almost 40 countries.
E-Class is the top luxury sedan meeting very well high-level requirements of the hotel. E-Class with top-of-the-line technology gives passengers maximum safety, superlative comfort and a peaceful feeling.
Udo Loersch, general director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, said: “We are happy on Thursday to provide a fleet of five E-Class to the Sofitel Saigon Plaza, to add ‘one more star’ to the luxury and elegant five-star hotel. E-Class is a renowned model for VIPs and has created a very successful story of Mercedes-Benz worldwide.”
In the market segment for premium autos, Mercedes-Benz held a striking 72% share last year. In 2011, the company’s strategy is to continue to bring the latest models to Vietnam, opening new dealer outlets throughout the country, and reaching out to new young target groups.
