DRC to build Vietnam‘s largest automobile tire manufactory

Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Co (DRC) on May 6 started construction on Radial lorry tire manufactory with an estimated capacity of 600,000 units per year in Lien Chieu industrial zone, in the central city of Da Nang.
This is the Vietnam's largest project in the auto tire manufacturing sector covering a site of 10.2 hectares to meet the demand of the domestic market and for export.
The project has a total investment of nearly three trillion dong, of which, equity accounts for 30 percent and the remaining will be commercial loans.
The project is broken into two phases whereby the first phase with a capacity of 300,000 units per year is expected to complete in Q1 2013 and the manufactory is planned to reach full capacity by 2015.
Once in operational, the plant will create jobs for about 1,000 locals and pay over 200 billion dong to the budget yearly.
