Six to nine-seat autos to suffer 30% of special consumer tax

This is the lowest tax proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) to the Government while other autos have to suffer 45-60%. Moreover, six to nine-seat autos will have registration fee and value added tax (VAT) decreased to 2% and 5%, respectively.
The MoIT said that producers of six to nine-seat autos will enjoy decreases in corporate income tax and 0% of import tax for importing machines and production materials.
Six to nine-seat autos are suitable to Vietnamese liking because they can carry a lot of people and meet various usage purposes. In fact, this type of auto is being greatly consumed in Vietnam. Relevantly, this can attract spare parts suppliers in Vietnam contributing to raising domestic rate.
