Vietnam AutoExpo 2011 opens in Hanoi

The 8th Vietnam International Automobile Support Industries Exhibition & Conference (Vietnam Auto Expo 2011) opened at the Giang Vo Exhibition Center in Hanoi on June 22.
The annual four-day event was organised by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in coordination with the C.I.S Vietnam Advertisement and Fair-Exhibition Company, the Institute for Industry Policy and Strategy (IPSI) and the Vietnam Society of Automotive Engineers (VSAE).
Under the theme “Technology for Life”, Vietnam Auto Expo 2011 displays a wide range of high-grade products and latest technologies to meet the increasing demand for vehicles in the domestic market.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Thanh Bien, highly valued achievements recorded by the local automobile industry in recent years. Together with foreign businesses, the sector aims to provide better services for local consumers and help boost the nation’s economic development, he said.
On the occasion, a seminar was also held, with a focus on Vietnam’s automobile industry.
