Chrysler carmaker set foot in Vietnam
The U.S.
car manufacturer Chrysler marked its official presence in Vietnam on Wednesday
through the launching of its showroom and authorized distributor in Ho Chi Minh
City.
The
showroom is located at 29 Ton Duc Thang Street in district 1, under management
of the distributor Indochina Auto.
Chrysler
will introduce large-size models under trademarks of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep
– including the Chrysler 300C, Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Journey, and Dodge Nitro.
Next
year, Indochina Auto will open new showrooms in Hanoi in the north, Da Nang in
the central region, and later in neighboring nations Laos and Cambodia.
So,
Chrysler becomes the second American car maker in Vietnam, after Ford since
1995.
Other
well-known car makers as BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Land Rover, and Hyundai
arrived in the Southeast Asian country.
