Car imports continue increasing

The general Bureau of Statistics reported that there have been 9,700 CBU cars in October 2009, up 1,700 units in comparison with the previous month. The total import turnover in October reached $141 million, an increase of $9 million against that of September.

 

Generally, in the past 10 months, the total amount of imported cars to Vietnam was estimated at 57,300 units, worth $905 million. It's predicted that the total volume of imported cars in November will be 9,000 units, bringing in total import turnover of $130 million.

 

It's estimated from early 2009 up to now, there would be 66,300 CBU cars to be imported in Vietnam, worth $1.035 trillion, up 40 percent year-on-year in volume.
